Where Vision Meets Style

After the successful collaboration on The Pulse 2023, Transitions Southeast Asia once again partnered with Stratminds Events and LeapMNL—this time to launch their newest innovation in adaptive eyewear: Transitions Gen S.

More than just a clinical eye-care solution, Gen S positions itself as a lifestyle statement—blending high-performance vision care with bold, expressive style.

A Regional Launch With the Philippines as the First Stop

As the first leg of a multi-country rollout across Southeast Asia, the Philippine launch had the crucial task of setting the tone for the rest of the tour. Expectations were high—and timelines were tight.

Just two weeks. That’s all the time Stratminds and LeapMNL had to conceptualize, produce, and stage the event from scratch. Everything—from script to screen, runway to rigging—had to be built in real time.

The mission:
Make lenses feel like fashion. Not just function.

Collaboration Under Pressure

Working closely with LeapMNL, Stratminds handled full production and staging for the Manila event, with a special focus on the night’s showstopper: the Interactive Lovewear Segment—a high-energy, editorial-style fashion presentation that brought the Gen S lens collection to life.

With no pre-made assets or materials, the team had to move fast—and smart. Together, they activated three parallel tracks to deliver everything on time:

What We Pulled Off:

  1. Content Production (10 days flat):
No existing AVP? No problem. Stratminds wrote, cast, and produced a fully original video inspired by the theatrical flair of Moulin Rouge. The result: a playful, campy opening film that set a fun and fashion-forward tone.
  2. Talent Management:
Seven models were sourced, styled, and choreographed to showcase the full color range of Gen S lenses—including the striking Ruby Red. Each look combined everyday wearability with a touch of runway flair, in sync with the brand’s lifestyle positioning.
  3. LED Panel Integration:
A massive 145-ft LED screen became the segment’s visual anchor. Working hand-in-hand with AV and LED suppliers, the team ensured crisp resolution, seamless transitions, and zero delay across multiple cues.

Hosted at a packed venue in Manila, the event welcomed over 500 Eye Care Professionals (ECPs)—the largest turnout of all the regional launches.

Highlights included:

  • A warm welcome by host JC Tevez
  • Opening remarks by Dr. Emelita Roleda, GM of Essilor Philippines
  • The Lovewear Segment, widely praised for its energy, polish, and style
  • Product presentations led by:
    • Stuart Cannon, GM of Transitions Asia
    • Chris King, Global Education Director
    • Sher Lyn Khok, Leonardo Senior Manager for SEA & Korea

Audience engagement remained high through live Mentimeter quizzes, panel discussions, and insights from ECP influencers Dr. Christine Fernandez-Fabian and Dr. Bianca Salimbangon, who shared first-hand experiences with the new lenses.

The program wrapped with closing remarks from Ms. Jinky Navo-Palteng, Marketing Manager for Essilor Philippines—followed by a surprise performance from the Universal Motion Dancers, who got the entire room on their feet and dancing.

Fast. Focused. Fashion-Forward.

The success of the Transitions Gen S Launch proved that even under pressure, creativity, collaboration, and clarity of vision can deliver standout results.

Together with LeapMNL, Stratminds turned a two-week challenge into a high-impact experience—where storytelling, tech, and style met on one LED-powered stage.

More than a product launch, it was a show of partnership, precision, and the power of smart, human-centered event design.
